Turón as a village is still pretty much undiscovered and predominantly Spanish with only a small handful of foreigners living there full time at present, but since it is located close to the large town of Berja it is still very accessible.

There are two bars, bakery, supermarket, pharmacy, medical service, town hall and a Primary school in Turón. There is also a playground area next to the church. In addition a communal Swimming pool is being created in 2006 for the residents of this village.
